WELCOME to equanimity records, where we specialise in solo artists and small bands on a budget.  Located in a semi-rural setting, we offer a relaxed environment and country hospitality so you can be at your creative best. 

SIMPLICITY  =  PERFECTION To record a high quality, low budget album, you don't necessarily need a recording studio in a fancy building with posh furniture in an expensive location.  You don't need the superficial stuff to produce great music, but you do need the right atmosphere and professional support. Our aim is to help you achieve the best recordings possible.  Therefore, with no major overheads, we don't need to charge high fees.  Our mission is to record your music with the clarity, warmth and depth it deserves, at a price you can afford.

SOUND ENGINEER Stephen Whitehead has over 20 years experience in recording, mixing and mastering.  He began his career in the recording industry with ABC Radio,  2SM and Triple J.  He is also a proficient musician, singer and song-writer, so he knows first-hand the passion and desire for perfection that lies within every artist.

ARTWORK  & PRE-PRESS We offer various options for artwork & pre-press - if you provide your own artwork but need it formatted for CD manufacture, we can arrange it.  Got ideas for your CD cover and/or booklet, but need help putting it all together?  We can do it.  We deliver a cost-effective package that achieves a  high quality finished product, to your satisfaction. 

CD MANUFACTURE  Because of our long-standing relationship with our CD manufacturers, we out-source the pressing of your albums into the hands of people we trust.  Every step of the way leading up to the glass master and final pressing, every detail is checked, and checked again, leaving no room for error.   No matter how many CD's you want, the attention to detail and quality control is assured, and the CD's are professionally cello-wrapped and boxed, ready for distribution.

RATES  All work (recording, mixing, mastering)  is based on the same hourly rate of $40.  Lock-in rate for 10 hours $300.
